“My passion for art and helping others is the foundation of the Art and Soul tour,” said Ashley Bennett-Stoddard, artist and philanthropist. “Creating custom pieces to help raise money and awareness for charitable causes is the inspiration behind my pendants and paintings.”
The Art and Soul tour will travel to Alchemy Restaurant, located in South Park – San Diego, June 3, 2010 through June 6, 2010. Proceeds from the autism-centric paintings and puzzle piece pendant sales will go to Autism Speaks. The funds will support the much needed research to prevent and treat autism with the eventual goal of finding a cure. Autism Speaks is focused on increasing awareness of the spectrum of disorders and advocating for the needs of individuals with autism and their families. Autism Speaks aims to unite the autism community as one strong voice to urge the government and society to become aware and take action to address this urgent global health crisis.
“My mission is to empower, encourage and inspire as many people as possible, showing them how to embrace their gifts and be bold enough to use them to help others,” added Bennett-Stoddard.
The event will be sponsored by ESN Restoration Services and Alchemy Restaurant, voted Editor’s Choice for Best New Restaurant in 2009 by San Diego Magazine. Alchemy is located at 1503 30th Street San Diego, between 30th Street & Beech Street in South Park. In honor of the event, Alchemy will donate 10% of all dinner sales for the evening.
